Introduction
BoloSign now allows users to fetch variable values directly from Airtable into document templates. This new feature helps businesses automate document creation by dynamically inserting relevant data from Airtable records into contracts, agreements, and other essential documents. By reducing manual entry and ensuring consistency, this integration enhances efficiency and accuracy in document management.
Step 1: Access the Airtable Integration in BoloSign
Log in to your BoloSign account.
Navigate to Settings > Integrations.
Click on Airtable to start the integration process.
2. Click on Install
A new authentication window will appear requesting access to your Airtable account.
3. Click on Sign in to log in to your Airtable account.
4. Authorize BoloSign to access your Airtable data by clicking on Allow Access.
5. Click on Add a Base to select the Airtable base containing the data you want to fetch.
6. Choose the correct Airtable Base and table that contains the variable values.
7. Click on Confirm Selection to proceed.
Airtable has been connected with BoloSign
8. Select the Correct base from Airtable which variables have to be fetched in BoloSign
9. Navigate to Templates in BoloSign.
Click on Upload PDF and select the document where you want to insert Airtable data.
10. Once the document has been Uploaded - "Click on Variables"
11. Refresh the Airtable Variables
12. Select Airtable Variables from the dropdown.
Map the appropriate Airtable fields to the template placeholders:
Employee Name →
{Employee Name}
Job Title →
{Job Title}
Employment Start Date →
{Employment Start Date}
Salary →
{Base Salary}
Work Location →
{Work Location}
13. Map the appropriate Airtable Fields in your Template
14. Add the required Field such as Signature.
15. Click on Save
16. Under the AirTable Integration
1. Select Record
17. Choose the Table to get all the records
18. Select the Variable Information.
19. You can leave the variables empty as well
20. Add the Email Body and Subject
"Type @ to access the custom variable dropdown option"
21. Click on Send
22. Click on Send Via Email
For Signer -
23. Click on Start Signing
24. Fill All the Required Fields
The document will automatically map with the required fields based on the Airtable data.
