Introduction:

Once your contracts are tagged with metadata, the real power kicks in through the Overview section in BoloSign. This is where you stop searching and start filtering. You can instantly slice through hundreds of contracts using metadata fields, then save those views so the info you care about is always one click away.

Whether you're tracking expirations, department-specific documents, or contract status, BoloSign’s Overview gives you a live, customizable control panel.

Inside the Overview section, you can filter documents using these tags and even create multiple saved views tailored to your team’s needs, like tracking upcoming renewals, viewing all pending approvals, or isolating vendor agreements by department. It’s simple, flexible, and built to help teams stay organized, proactive, and in control.

How does the Overview Section help?

In the Overview tab, they can now:

1. Filter Contracts Instantly:

  • View all NDAs expiring in the next 30 days

  • Find MSAs with Acme Corp owned by the Sales team

  • Filter for contracts that are still Under Review

No more hunting through folders or opening PDFs.

2. Create and Save Custom Views

Let’s say the Legal Head wants a weekly view of:

  • All executed NDAs

  • With a renewal date in the next 60 days

  • Assigned to the Legal team

They create a Saved View called “Upcoming NDA Renewals (Legal)”—and revisit it any time with one click.

FAQS:

1. What’s the Overview section used for?
The Overview section gives you a dashboard-style view of all your documents. You can use filters to search by metadata and even save views for quick access later.

2. Can I create different views for different teams?
Yes. You can set filters, like “All NDAs owned by the Legal team” or “Contracts expiring this month”—and save them as custom views for anyone to revisit anytime.

3. How do filters work?
You can apply filters using any metadata field. For example, you can filter to show only “Executed NDAs” or “Contracts expiring in the next 30 days.”

4. Can I save filtered views?
Yes. Once you apply your filters, you can save the setup as a custom view—so you don’t have to reapply filters each time.

5. Who can access my saved views?
Saved views are personal by default, but you can also share them with your team if needed, depending on your access settings.

Conclusion:

At the end of the day, managing contracts shouldn’t feel like a chore. With BoloSign’s metadata and overview features, you don’t have to waste time hunting for files or second-guessing where things stand. You can just filter, sort, and instantly see what matters—like what’s about to expire, what’s still pending, or which contracts belong to which teams. It’s a simple way to stay organized and stay ahead, without the chaos.
